Well summer is here!☀️
Bathgate Brass Band will be out and about in the community over the next month, first engagement is Bathgate Procession and John Newland Festival.
Friday 1st June – We’ll be parading in the streets of the principal characters of the Procession, then we’ll be attending the Newland Oration at the Bathgate High Church
Saturday 2nd June – An early start for us as we march off at 08:30 to the Royal Scot Court before a hearty breakfast to set us up for the rest of the day.
Later in the morning we’ll march along Marjoribanks Street to attend the Historical pageant at 11:15, and then of course catch us on the main procession.
The Procession leaves The Old Bathgate Academy and parades the town by way of Marjoribanks Street, Drumcross Road, Torphichen Street, Waverley Street, Livery Street, George Street, George Place, South Bridge Street and Glasgow Road to Meadow Park.
Look out for the youngsters from Bathgate Youth Band who’ll be assisting the senior band over the weekend.
